Legacy K9 Search Team is a 501c(3), all-volunteer organization that provides emergency response services to those in need.  Our members are dedicated and undergo year-round training in a variety of terrains, including both urban and wilderness environments and in all weather conditions, in preparation for search and rescue missions and urban disaster responses efforts. 

We collaborate with law enforcement agencies to respond to search and rescue and recovery needs as requested.  Our K9 teams are certified in specialties such as Airscent, Trailing, and Human Remains Detection.  In addition to K9 training, team members are extensively trained in areas such as wilderness navigation, search and rescue techniques, radio communication, crime scene management, and searcher survival. 

Many of our team members are highly respected search dog experts who also teach at seminars and workshops.  We also have an outreach program designed to promote awareness of search and rescue operations and personal safety in wilderness settings.  Our K9 teams and team members visit schools, camps, and other groups to provide informative talks and demonstrations to educate our community about Search and Rescue operations.
